Terms of use
Cobble is an independently developed, open-source Minecraft Java launcher. These terms describe licensing, content rights and conditions of use.
Software license
CobbleLauncher’s own code is licensed under the MIT License, allowing use, modification and distribution under its conditions. Dependencies, plugins, games and content have their own licenses. This page does not restrict rights granted by MIT or replace third-party licenses.
Minecraft and third-party content
Cobble is not an official Minecraft product and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. MIT does not grant a Minecraft game license. Follow game, server and content-provider requirements; offline profiles are not a way to bypass entitlement checks or server access restrictions.
Downloading, sharing, exporting or redistributing Mods, modpacks, blueprints and other content requires the relevant rights. Platform download restrictions, creator permissions and content licenses still apply.
Accounts, plugins and multiplayer
Keep accounts, identity private keys, invitations and other credentials secure. Only act on games, files and servers you are authorized to access. Do not use services to intrude on devices, impersonate others or distribute malicious content.
Mods and installers can execute native code; plugins may receive network or file permissions you approve. Choose trusted sources and grant access as needed. Mesh invitations and node services remain subject to their purpose, availability and applicable rules.
Data and recovery
Check the target and backups before version migrations, content updates, world restores or third-party tool use. Backups and undo reduce the impact of mistakes but cannot cover hardware failure, every external modification or all format compatibility problems.
The software is under active development. Experimental support depends on the specific version and reported state. A relay connection or local simulation does not guarantee hole punching across every network topology.
External services and updates
Third-party platforms may change APIs, fees, authorization or availability. The project does not control these services. Update checks and installation follow your chosen settings; releases may change features and system requirements.
The project may change or discontinue its website and hosted services. This does not revoke rights to software already obtained under MIT.
Warranty and liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the software is provided “as is” under the MIT License, without the warranties it excludes. Liability limitations are governed by the license and applicable law. This page does not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy and contact
See the Privacy Policy for data handling. Changes to this page will carry a new date.
To contact the maintainers, describe the type of request first. Do not post tokens, private logs or personal information in a public issue; arrange an appropriate channel if more information is needed.
